Menus

The menu and ideology is to provide Asian-Indian food from the vast subcontinent, the menu is designed to use seasonal and local produce. With an intense passion for food, dishes are selected to portray the amalgamations of Indian food and culture through time. Indian food, as we know today, started as a journey with the “spice route” leading to the development of a cuisine heavily influenced by various cultures of the world. India became a melting pot for dishes which were born through cultural encounters in history. The Mughals (Turks) had a heavy impact and gave us Mughlai food/Awadhi which is commonly known as “North IndianCuisine“. The Portuguese introduced Creole cooking to the south which emerged in Goan and Keralan food, finally the British adopted curries which now forms an intrinsic part of food in Britain in the form of dishes like Chicken Tikka Masala. The restaurant is set on the first floor in a plush and comfortable location in central Oakham with a bar and lounge. Different days of the week portray different menus, Sunday brings a special Thali, Saturday lunch is Street food and week days (Tue-Thurs) have the 2-dine offer.
